Mr. Martin Gordon， OBE
Martin Gordon is our investment adviser. A graduate from Oxford University, Martin is the Chairman of the British charity, Barry & Martin’s Trust. He was awarded the prestigious British honour Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his significant contributions in the banking sector during his career at SG Warburg. He was former Chairman of UBS Warburg Asia Holding Ltd. During his career at SG Warburg, he successfully arranged the first ever overseas bond issue of the People's Republic of China, that of the Bank of China in 1987. He led the first IPO of a mainland Chinese company in 1993, when Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fibre Co. Ltd listed on the Hongkong stock exchange. In November 2009, he was awarded the Chinese Ministry of Health Award and the National Friendship Award in 2011 by the Chinese Government for the significant contributions made by Barry & Martin’s Trust in the prevention and control of AIDS in China.
